China sees rise in asymptomatic COVID-19 cases, raising concerns of second wave of infections

Asymptomatic COVID-19 case numbers have spiked in China, raising concerns about a second wave of infections. Asymptomatic cases have become a concern as it is thought that carriers can still spread the virus to others. Another 78 people who do not have symptoms have tested positive for the virus. Almost half are in Hubei province. The increase comes two days before authorities plan to lift a lockdown on Wuhan, the epicentre of the outbreak.
