After an extended Lunar New Year holiday, China is trying to get employees back to work as the nation tries to handle the deadly coronavirus outbreak. Economists say resumption of work is crucial since most small and medium enterprises in China were expected to be able to only hold out for a month in the current situation. Local authorities in places such as the eastern provinces of Zhejiang and the city of Shenzhen near Hong Kong are providing financial support to businesses, while other organisations are coping by asking employees to work online.
